Well, not really.
It's been a month since last I blogged and people have been clamoring for some sort of update. And there has certainly been goings-on to be updated about. Does that make sense? Never you mind.
Marc and I are throwing caution to the wind (very unlike our usual selves) and will be married in 4 weeks. Since it isn't going to be a big to-do, there isn't much to prepare.
I got the marriage license in about 15 minutes, without so much as showing my passport or birth certificate. I thought all was going well until the clerk reminded me to bring two witnesses to the ceremony. Eeep! We're quite the anti-socials here and don't know anyone except people at Marc's work, who he's not particularly close to. We're crossing our fingers that we won't have to accost people on the street to witness for us.
We've got the rings as well. Nice plain, classic ones. While talking about what to engrave on them, we jokingly considered "Kristine+Marc 4EVA". That doesn't look too bad, does it?
As for the dress. I got one on sale, that's a size too large. So it's at the altering place. Everyone just has to hold their breath to see how it looks. If you want a sneak preview, you can hack into my mom's email and look at the photo I sent her. But please, don't do that.
My only problem now is the shoes. Wish me luck on that.

I just found out that we're having a 10th year High School reunion a year late and I'll be home in time for it.
A year ago I dreaded the thought of going to the reunion, singing hallelujahs that it never pushed through. But now, I'm actually excited to go. I don't really care for the people I haven't seen in 10 years. I can go on living never setting sights on them again. But it'll be nice to see my good friends in one place. Gosh, I can just imagine the earsplitting noise a hundred+ Povedans can make. Especially ones plied with drinks and bursting with kwentos. For their own safety, I encourage people who care about their lives to avoid Eastwood on the 24th.
Speaking of high school, I'm reading "I love you, Beth Cooper", a one-crazy-night story about a nerdy kid and his cheerleader crush. It's the stuff teen movies are made of. In fact, all the chapter quotes are from teen movies. I've been able to identify some of them, but the others are a mystery.
It's okay as far as teen fare goes, but I don't know if I'll pay to see the movie when it comes out. FYI, Beth Cooper will be played by Hayden "Clair Bare" Panattiere (how do you spell her name?).
