Thanks for all the get-wells and I really appreciate the offer of soup (I love soup!). However, I still can't guarantee frequent posts, no matter how loud the howls of protest get.

This might very well be my last post for the year. I'm expecting my male order bride next week and I'm going to have my hands full showing him around. That, and I still have work and a slew of Christmas parties to attend.

As for my annual Christmas mix tape, I was thinking of skipping it this year. I feel sometimes that people don't really listen to it and just toss it on a pile of discs and forget about it.* So what's the point really? But after some (very light) soul searching I decided to cobble a few songs together. This year though, it'll be in mp3 format, for easier iPod/mp3 player uploading. You know, I think about your needs.

My favorite song of the past week has been Richard Swift's "As I Go". Swift was the opening act for Wilco when I saw them (I can't believe I saw them! EEEE! *deep breath*). Swift was less than impressive I'm afraid, caterwauling his way through his set. But I listened to a few of this songs and they're pretty catchy. They have a "Penny Lane"-like sound to them. "As I Go" is a nice little song about faith and love.

Flight of the Conchords. Go. Watch it. It is awesome. Trust me. Thank me later.

Oh my God. He really does answers prayers. "The Soup" (I love soup!) now airs on channel 25.

I read the second part of the series about two years ago and I only got around to reading the first half last week. Great stuff. I know the 3rd of the series was just released. I hope it's as good as the previous ones. And let's all try to forget the movie.

Which reminds me, I still have three books left to read although I've lost interest in "Water for Elephants". It's meh at best. It will make a good made-for-tv movie one day. Maybe Haley Joel Osment could star.

* - because in all honesty, I do that myself sometimes

This past week I've been shot down by the flu. I hate it. I hate being sick. When I was younger it wasn't so bad since my mom would put a cold compress on my forehead and be at my beck and call. Not so much these days. I asked her if there was any breakfast this morning she said, "None." And just walked away. Shyet. Being an adult sucks.

What's worse is that tonight is the ANC Christmas party and I'm going to fucking miss it. Fuck.

Siiigh.

Medicines don't seem to be working. I think I drank about five different kinds yesterday. I guess I can't do anything but let this pass.

Okay, that's it. I'm going to rustle up some food in our foodless house.
